A Data Science Central Community
We’re getting ready for Big Data Week in Atlanta (taking place May 5-11) and have heard from many of you asking about speaking this year. The event is designed to offer a good variety of meetups and sessions, offering a unique platform for speakers of many experience levels and industries.
We’re currently accepting speaker proposals for this year’s weeklong conference in Atlanta: Please fill out this form to be considered.
We’re looking for proposals from enterprise-level users and innovators on unique and interesting use cases in Big Data. Discussions around overcoming challenges and successful Big Data projects will be favored. While speaking submissions from vendors will be accepted, vendors are highly encouraged to co-submit with an enterprise partner to ensure that events are as educational and beneficial to attendees as possible.
This is a free speaking opportunity open to the data leaders within Atlanta’s community. The deadline has been extended until April 4.

More information on the event:
International Big Data Week is a weeklong series of independently hosted events organized as a platform to educate, inform and inspire a global community of data scientists, business executives, technologists, data visualizers and data businesses spanning major commercial, financial, social and technological sectors.
The festival connects a number of global cities through locally hosted meetups, events, panels, networking functions, demos, debates, discussions and hackathons. Each week is designed to provide a variety of events ranging in topics, industry-specific use cases, expertise levels and more.
Last year, Atlanta’s Big Data Week celebration was a truly historic event for the city, with over 1000 unique registrants, 22 events and more than 50 speakers. Our kickoff panel event was covered in Wall Street Journal, the hackathon on CNN and more. Editors from national publications such as GigaOm and New York Times flew in to speak and attend the events.
